Campus recreation is a dynamic and ever changing field that offers rich opportunities to both those who participate in and those who facilitate these experiences. My passion is to enhance the lives of students, faculty, staff through engagement in activities that provide a chance to pursue active and health lifestyles, a focus on community developing the next generation of leaders. My entire career has been focused on building comprehensive recreation opportunities starting with my Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University. This experience allowed me to take the next step and serve as a Graduate Assistant at Indiana University-Bloomington while studying Recreational Sport Administration. My passion then led me to 5 years as the Assistant Director-Aquatics at Purdue University’s Division of Recreational Sports and onto Denison University for the past 3 years as the Director of the Aquatics Center. This journey through recreational sports has always been about serving and gaining a diverse set of experiences, knowledge and skills needed to face the challenges of a dynamic recreational sports climate.
