Bio

Deja'Nay Gilliam is an emerging young professional who currently works for the Department of Campus Recreation at the University of California, Davis as the Coordinator of Member Services. Previously, she worked as the Graduate Assistant of Member Services at Washington State University where she also obtained her Masters degree in Education with a concentration in Sport Management. While at Washington State University she was also awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development with a minor in Psychology. Deja'Nay first became involved with the field of collegiate recreation during her junior year and has since, served in many different roles with the most recent being the 2017-2018 NIRSA Region VI Student Leader.

Not only is Deja'Nay self-motivated and eager to learn, but she thrives when under pressure and is dedicated to wholeheartedly embracing all opportunities for growth. Her passion and enthusiasm for the sports and recreation industries is infectious and very evident within her work. It is her hope that she can make a significant impact on others while becoming a professional who is not only well rounded, but a force to be reckoned with.
